This is a series of books that bring new relevant meaning to contemporary art. The first five are volumes of the same species, aptly called “Art of Lists.” They make for a clever exploration of products, quotations, personalities, and modern trends. Each original piece is followed by an original poem. The other two also concern themselves with art. One extols the virtues of our heroes, followed by essays. The other is a delicious recipe book. Yum! Can't decide? Try all seven. In the pages to come, you will see a sum up of each book.

The Owl and the Christmas Tree

The synergy of a protagonist being an owl, the holiday time-of-year excitement, a lulling rhyme to the text and very captivating illustrations bring The Owl and the Christmas Tree into the best-in-class category within such an expanding genre of illustrated Christmas story children's books. John Nieman has created a book that showcases his talent of being a writer, poet, and artist. Animal lovers as well would agree this is a book not to be missed, as children will take to these pages time and time again to look into the piercing eyes of Rocky, and how this little owl sees the world around him.

The Owl and the Christmas Tree

John Nieman has cleverly rhymed the indelible events that took place in the winter of 2020 and has added aspects, like giving an idea of what little Rocky thought about everything, to make it more interesting and interactive for kids. This was my first time learning of this unprecedented occurrence and I love the author's idea of documenting it in a children's picture bo
